Located in the small village of LaRue, Ohio Coonies Place opened its doors in 1936. From the outside, Coonies might have been mistaken for a modest endeavor but has become, with the help of all the staff and guests who continue to return to it, a space that shines from within. Over 80 years later, Coonies Place has carried on the traditions of its early days. A place of embracement to gather with friends and family. A staple for our community.

Current owners Kristi and Pat Benson will celebrate 30 years of ownership in May 2023! Kristi and Pat enjoy continuing the Coonies traditions that began many years ago. One, in particular, is the importance of St. Patrick’s Day to this local establishment. St. Patrick’s Day is the biggest day of the year and includes all the necessities- green beer, corned beef and cabbage, soda bread, and celebration! Be sure to stop in for dinner, drinks, karaoke, celebrations, and more! We can’t wait to serve you.
